Founder Partner
Brian Yorke is one of the founding Partners of the Law Office of Ball & Yorke. Brian represents individuals in a variety of civil claims including catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and products liability matters with a focus on punch press cases.
Brian Yorke has been in practice for over 35 years and is rated AV by Martindale Hubbell. Martindale Hubbell is considered the gold standard for attorney ratings.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Brian was a social studies teacher in Los Angeles. Brian attended law school at night while maintaining his teaching position. Brian graduated in 1985 and was admitted to the bar that December.
Brian has handled many high-profile cases, and was the lead trial attorney in the case of Rosales vs. Thermex Thermatron, resulting in a substantial verdict for the plaintiff, who was injured in a punch press accident. Brian was able to establish that the successor company was responsible for the acts of a predecessor company which had been acquired by sale. Brian also received, what is believed to be, the highest award of sanctions exceeding $120,000.00 as a result of the defense failure to properly respond to discovery.
In another high-profile case, Brian was able to establish that an employee was in the course and scope of his employment on his way to work when he ran through a stop sign fatally injuring the father of three.
Brian lives in California with his wife, Claudia, and his dachshund, Tess. When Brian is not working, he can be found on the racquetball court or driving around in his classic 1954 GMC 100 Pickup.
